UNI is the right investment!

The University of Northern Iowa is ranked among the top 25 public universities whose graduates have the lowest default rate on student loans, according to the online college ranking company BestColleges.com.

In its recent ranking of the student loan default rates for more than 700 public institutions across the nation, BestColleges.com listed UNI No. 20 among public universities.

If paying for college is standing in a student's way, we want to be able to ease their mind: Nearly 90 percent of first-time, full-time UNI students receive financial aid.

UNI makes attending college easier on a student's budget so they can focus on academics, not their bank account. Here’s more great news:

  • UNI is the state’s most affordable four-year institution for Iowa residents.

  • Affordable Colleges Online ranked UNI among the top 22 colleges and universities in Iowa to provide the best lifetime return on investment.

  • Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine ranked UNI as one of the top 100 Best Values in Public Colleges for 2015.

  • UNI students owe less money when they graduate than students who graduate from any other public four-year institution in the state.

When it comes down to it, UNI is a great investment!
