UNI assistance helps small businesses across Iowa grow and succeed

UNI assistance helps small businesses across Iowa grow and succeed

UNI’s Center for Business Growth and Innovation (CBGI) and the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) began a partnership in 2012 to establish an online resource that helps small businesses in Iowa grow and succeed. This partnership formed IASourceLink.com, which connects Iowa entrepreneurs to a network for 360+ resource partners that provide a wide range of services including marketing, technical assistance, government contracts, education, and other business-related needs.

In addition to IASourceLink’s comprehensive network of resource providers, Iowa-based business owners can also access helpful, curated information through the business concierge program or online business webinars. Each year, IASourceLink responds to the needs of more than 100,000 entrepreneurs from all 99 Iowa counties.

Earlier this month, Iowa Secretary of State Paul D. Pate announced whenever a new business completes its registration process with the state, the company will receive an email or flyer with its registration materials, directing them to IASourceLink. Read their press release here.

“The long standing partnership between UNI and IEDA has allowed IASourcelink to grow to be the premier resource for new and existing businesses in Iowa,” said Patrick Luensmann, Senior Program Manager at CBGI. “With UNI’s expertise in digital media and entrepreneurship programming and IEDA’s leadership in licensing and small business support, IASourcelink is positioned to continue to innovate and provide resources for Iowa businesses for years to come.”
