IASourceLink marks 10 years of serving Iowa businesses
If you own a business in the state of Iowa, you may have encountered IASourceLink along the way. Powered by UNI John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, IASourceLink works hand-in-hand with the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) to provide quality education and resources to Iowa's startup and small business community through its web-based platform. In November of 2022, IASourceLink celebrated its 10-year anniversary.
For a decade, IASourceLink has worked to develop and refine the existing education for business owners in the state of Iowa. Today, IASourceLink's network features almost 400 resource partners that specialize in everything from business planning to funding to strategic marketing and more. The platform is engaged by more than 65,000 users annually, providing free access to personalized hotline assistance, step by step "how-to" business guides, an annual tax webinar series in partnership with the Iowa Department of Revenue, and as of 2022, the integration and ownership of Iowa's Business License Information Center.
"To date we have had over 500,000 visitors to the website and our nearly 400 resource partners have assisted thousands of businesses through referrals from IASourceLink," says Patrick Luensmann, program manager of the web-based program. "We have heard from hundreds on how we have helped them realize their dream of owning a small business. We look forward to the next decade of assisting small business owners and innovating our own resources."
To celebrate the 10 year milestone, IASourceLink's digital marketing campaign invited resource partners to share celebratory content on social media and was met with an outpouring of support from partners, including city chambers, economic developers, and Secretary of State Paul D. Pate.
