University Address and Autumn Academic Update

At his University Address on August 20, President Mark A. Nook outlined key initiatives and investments that will enable UNI to enhance its unique commitment to student success. “These initiatives ensure that we meet the needs of a changing student demography in an extremely competitive market, and ensure students develop the skills they need to achieve their academic, professional and personal life goals.”

“Education is changing rapidly and we need to think of where we want to be 30 years from now,” said Nook. “And we need to take those steps now!”

“UNI's unique commitment to student success positions us to help chart a path for Iowa's continued success,” stated Nook. UNI will be providing updates on these key strategic initiatives over the course of the academic year and will continue to engage faculty, staff and students with a focused eye on building the UNI Experience.
