Rolling out the red carpet
The University of Northern Iowa rolled out the red carpet this year for new and returning students. UNI President Bill Ruud and his wife Judy surprised parents and students by spending more than one afternoon helping freshmen and sophomores move into the residence halls. The UNI football team provided even more brawn as players and coaches carried boxes, appliances and more.
Students are also discovering new features on campus after the university completed several projects this summer including;
- The second phase of Panther Village apartment and suites
- Renovations to Redeker Center,which now includes computer labs and study lounges
- Upgrades to Rod Library to allow for more multimedia creation and editing
- The addition of new purple and gold Adirondack chairs throughout campus
Prospective students can experience UNI for themselves this fall at a series of Panther Open Houses hosted by the Admissions Office. Come learn about UNI's rigorous academic programs, stellar athletic teams, multitude of leadership opportunities, and more than 250 student organizations. Students and families attending an open house even have the opportunity to attend a football game at no cost!
Upcoming Event:
