The University of Northern Iowa congratulates the graduating class of 2016!

More than 2,000 graduates are joining 107,000+ UNI alumni across the country and around the world. Meet some of our recent grads who will be moving on to great things!

Danielle
B.A. - Elementary Education and Spanish
Muscatine

This fall, Danielle will be teaching 4th grade Spanish Immersion at an elementary school in Minnesota.

"UNI brought passionate professors, mentors and friends into my life that encouraged me to take a lot of opportunities. Those people prepared me in so many ways professionally, but more importantly, they taught me how to genuinely connect with people."

Mitchell
B.A. - Management, Marketing and Economics
Houston, Minnesota

Mitchell will be living and working in Pella, Iowa, for Pella Corporation in their Sales Development Program as a field sales trainee.

"This university has prepared my classmates and I for the 'real world' better than I could have ever thought possible. We are all ready. But, I've also had more fun than I could have ever imagined. UNI provides students with the opportunity to get involved with countless student groups and organizations, attend amazing university-sponsored events and cheer on some of the best sports teams in the nation."

Maicol
B.A. - Graphic Technologies with a minor in Marketing
Waterloo

After graduation, Maicol will intern in a digital marketing position with Sain Store, an online, interactive agency that provides marketing and digital advertising services while having the opportunity to spend 2-3 months in China during the summer.

"UNI has a lot to offer when it comes to building the connections you need when you get out of college. The classes are just the right size. Thanks to the small classes, I was able to form meaningful connections with the outstanding faculty in my department."

Kathryn
B.A. - Psychology
Spillville

Kathryn will be continuing her education at Minnesota State University in Mankato's Clinical Psychology Master's Program.

Ninety-seven percent of UNI graduates were employed or continuing their education within six months of graduation, and 4/5 of our graduates take their first job or continue their education in Iowa (based on self-reporting from the 2014-15 graduation class).
